Instructions & Downloads

  1. Prep the nail: Follow Akzentz’s directions for nail and cuticle prep. Gently remove surface shine with the specified 180-grit file.
  2. Cleanse: Remove dust, then cleanse with Prep & Wipe and a suitable lint-free wipe. Keep uncured gel off the skin throughout your service.
  3. Apply your Base: Follow the directions for the nail type and apply a thin coat. Akzentz specifies 30 seconds in an Akzentz LED light. Leave the sticky layer (inhibition layer) in place before your next step.
  4. Build your shape: Follow the Build instructions for the thin, uncured slip layer and apex placement. Let the product self-level, then cure as directed.
  5. Refine if needed: Shape or refine using the method in the Build instructions. You can finish Build clear or continue with the matching Luxio Color steps.
  6. Finish with your top coat: Follow its own directions. For Luxio Gloss, Akzentz specifies 30 seconds in an Akzentz LED light, followed by Prep & Wipe to remove the sticky layer.
  7. Check your lamp: These cure times apply to the Akzentz lamp and product instructions linked here. Another lamp or formula may need a different time, so check the exact instructions before you begin.
  8. Ready for removal? Follow the soak-off or filing directions for your exact product. If you use Soak Off, follow its directions and gently remove only the softened product.

Luxio® Build is part of the complete Luxio® Soft Gel System and is designed to strengthen natural nails while maintaining flexibility and a lightweight feel. It works seamlessly with Luxio® Base, Luxio® Color, and Luxio® Gloss to create durable structured manicures, natural overlays, and short sculpted extensions with long-lasting professional performance.

Recommended Use

Step 1: Prepare the Nail

Thoroughly prepare the natural nails by cleansing with Akzéntz Prep & Wipe, performing cuticle care, and gently removing surface shine using a 180-grit file.

Step 2: Apply Base

Apply a thin, even layer of Luxio® Base, ensuring complete coverage while avoiding the cuticle and surrounding skin. Cure for 30 seconds in an Akzéntz LED lamp.

Step 3: Build Structure

Apply a thin slip layer of Luxio® Build and leave uncured. Place a small bead where the apex is required and allow the gel to self-level naturally. Refine the structure with the Luxio® Liner Brush if desired, then cure for 30 seconds.

Step 4: Refine (Optional)

If necessary, remove the inhibition layer using Akzéntz Prep & Wipe and refine the structure with an Akzéntz file or buffer. Remove all dust before continuing.

Step 5: Finish the Service

Apply Luxio® Color if desired, followed by Luxio® Gloss, curing each layer for 30 seconds. Remove the final inhibition layer with Akzéntz Prep & Wipe.

For a clear strengthening overlay, omit the color application and finish directly with Luxio® Gloss.
