Instructions & Downloads

  1. Charge before first use. Use the supplied charger with the speed knob OFF. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours; the lamp changes from red to white. Disconnect the adaptor afterwards.
  2. Connect and prepare. With power off, connect the handpiece cord to MOTOR. Set up on a clean, dry surface and keep cords clear of your working area.
  3. Fit the right bit. The manual specifies a 2.35 mm (3/32-inch) shank. Switch off and wait for a complete stop before opening the chuck. Insert and lock the bit as shown in the manual; never run with the chuck open.
  4. Start gently. Use the speed knob and digital display to adjust the setting. Check for vibration at low speed first. The maximum is 30,000 RPM; choose a working speed within the bit maker’s limits.
  5. Choose the direction. Use FWD or REV to match the bit and your trained technique. Stop the motor before changing direction or changing bits.
  6. File with control. Match each bit to enhancement reduction, refinement or trained detail work. Keep a light touch and keep moving; don’t linger in one spot or press harder to compensate for a worn bit. Stop immediately for heat or discomfort.
  7. Care for the handpiece. Keep dust away, avoid moisture inside, and do not wash it with water or add oil. Follow the manual’s care directions; cleaning the handpiece is separate from reprocessing reusable bits.
  8. Know when to stop. Unusual noise, heat, vibration or repeated cut-outs need attention. Switch off and contact Nove for service guidance rather than repeatedly restarting. Keep your invoice and controller/handpiece serial numbers handy.
